Why Dada does it again!
Dada aka Sourav Ganguly seems quite the Phoenix — always rising from the ashes. Each time one thought that Dada had been written off, he bounced right back. And now his first film act has gone viral.
Ganguly — The Movie, a video uploaded on YouTube, has already been viewed 487,147 times. One of the dialogues he mouths is, “Iss liye log mujhe baap nahin dada kehte hain.” And his fans and well-wishers agree that the Prince of Kolkata’s spirit is not just commendable but highly inspiring as well.
Sankalp Bhatia, an avid fan of Ganguly and a cricket buff shares, “Since his golden debut at Lords along with Rahul Dravid, he has accomplished a lot for the sport. He has scaled great heights in the game, achieved much for the country, and given hope and scope to young budding cricketers like Yuvraj Singh, MSD, Harbhajan Singh, Virender Sehwag who have gone on to become legends in their own rights. He has the natural ability to get the best out of people. In the 2003 World Cup, he made Dravid a wicketkeeper, which gave India the option of playing either an extra batsman or bowler, and this led to the finding of Dhoni who has a Midas touch but was first touched by our Dada.”
Nikhil94zhakas writes on the YouTube page of Ganguly — The Movie, “I’m not a bangali ... still dada is the person of inspiration for me der is noone in this whole world who has more respect in my eyes then dada and plzs f**** off the haters if u hate him go somewhere else .. this place is for dada lovers.”
Every time Ganguly hits a low, he seems to dig in his heels, refuse to buckle down or give up, and doggedly persevere in picking himself up and aiming for a new goal again. Entrepreneur Arun Mohnani says, “Despite being a lover of football, Kolkata has always supported Dada. He has risen from all the lows and controversies in his life. Whatever we may say, love him or hate him, you can’t stop talking about him.”
