Women woo their beloveds
Furtive smiles, gushes of words and painful pauses. Well, these maybe things of the past, as now girls know which guy they want and how to get him. It is a role reversal of sorts, as now it is not guys chasing their lady love, but the other way round. And how.
New-age women are now calling the shots in a relationship and shedding inhibitions about asking a guy out. For instance, take our tinseltown diva Deepika Padukone, who isn’t afraid to ask for more. She was allegedly linked with cricketer Yuvraj Singh, Dhoni but dumped both of them for cutie Ranbir. When things didn’t work out with Ranbir, she took the plunge and was seen hanging out with Siddharth Mallya. So, what happens when tables turn in relationships? We check out more about this new trend.
Arti Bhargava, an HR consultant at CHA International says, “According to me, it’s cool because now even girls have the courage to chase boys. It’s funny, but if you really like someone why hide it? Some guys are shy and even if they like you, they don’t have the courage to approach you. If your’re sure about a particular guy and want to go ahead with it, then I think the best thing is to get to know him a little more.”
Men too enjoy the attention of the opposite sex, and it’s really flattering for them to be asked out by a girl. Says Bishwadeep Guha, 22, “If a girl is approaching a guy first it shows she’s confident and bold and it can be a huge turn-on for guys.”
