10-yr-old was raped 4 times, then killed

The 10-year-old missing girl, whose decomposed body was found in the Wadala area on Saturday, was actually gangraped by two local men before being killed. The Mumbai crime branch claims to have solved the case and arrested both the accused, who during their interrogation, confessed to having raped the minor four times before brutally killing her.
The arrested accused have been identified as Aslam Amzad Khan (32) and Henry Samuel Jacobs (29), both residents of Wadala.
The victim, whose father sells eggs in the Wadala area, went missing on the evening of March 3 from the area. Her mangled body was found in a nullah near the Imax theatre in Wadala on Saturday, March 9. Her father identified the deceased as his daughter.
Along with the Wadala TT police, the Mumbai crime branch Unit-4 also initiated a parallel probe in the matter, and on Thursday arrested Khan and Jacobs following a tip-off, said assistant commissioner of police Prafulla Bhosale.
According to sources, during the interrogation, the accused revealed that the victim knew them as they lived in the same area and would come to their place to play with them. “On March 3, they took away the girl to an isolated place where they gagged her mouth and repeatedly raped her. Fearing that she would tell her parents about the incident, the accused decided to kill her. Khan and Jacobs then strangled and beat her to death. After dumping her body, they returned home and resumed as normal to not raise doubts about them,” said an officer on condition of anonymity.
During investigation, the crime branch investigators questioned the people who were close to the victim and found Khan and Jacobs’ information to be incorrect. They then went into hiding, but were nabbed on Thursday by the police, the officer added.
The Wadala TT police arrested the accused under various sections of Indian Penal Code including Section 302 (murder) and 376-G (gangrape).
