2 women held for trespassing
The Bandra police booked a Delhi-based mother-daughter duo late on Thursday night for creating a scene outside Salman Khan’s house when they tried to enter the building claiming they knew his manager.
Inside the Bandra police station, they also assaulted a biker with whom they had an altercation earlier.
According to the police, the women made three attempts on Thursday evening to convince the guards at Galaxy Apartments to allow them to meet Mr Khan. Harpreet and Amita Sethi first drove to the building at around 6 pm, claiming they owned a production house and wanted to sign Mr Khan. They dropped the name of Mr Khan’s manager, Reshma Shetty. However, the guards turned them away. The two returned at around 8.30
pm and again at around 11 pm.
“They came with their driver Nitin and started abusing the watchmen and passersby below the building. Seeing this, Salman’s bodyguard came down and intervened. During this time, our patrolling van spotted the commotion and we brought them to the police station. They also began abusing the lady constables in the police station,” said an officer from Bandra police station.
In the midst of all this, biker Siddique Taraporwala spotted the women’s Toyota Corolla car parked in the police station’s compound and went inside. He inquired whether the two women had caused a road accident, when they slapped him. The women took advantage of the confusion and slipped out. However, their driver Nitin was arrested.
The police has now applied sections of assault, breach of peace and trespassing against the duo.
