The Mulund police late on Saturday night arrested five youth who allegedly gangraped a 40-year-old widow in a forested area of Mulund early on Saturday. They were produced in court and sent to police custody while the hunt is on for the other accused in the case.
Assistant commissioner of police, Mulund division, Vasant Tajne said, “We have arrested Wahid Khan (23), Dastagir Khan (20), Wasit Sheikh (20), Ajay Gaichand (20) and Mahesh Maragaje (28).
All of them have allegedly gangraped her. They have been remanded to our custody by a magistrate’s court till September 30.”
