BJP gears up for Dec’s Winter Session morcha
BJP’s Maharashtra president Sudhir Mungantiwar and leader of Opposition Eknath Khadse will be carrying a morcha on the second day of the Winter Session at Nagpur which starts from December 10 to condemn corruption, inflation and other issues.
However, ruling party NCP wants the morcha to be initiated from BJP’s national president Nitin Gadkari’s house. Mr Mungantiwar and Mr Khadse on Thursday declared that if the state government does not come up with the white paper on irrigation, the BJP will come up with black paper on each of the issues related to irrigation. The leaders, further, alleged that they had given as many as 52 cases of irregularities, but the CM is more interested in remaining in power rather than getting to the root of the scams.
However, NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik said that the BJP had a habit of making repeated allegations and trying to prove what is not true. “While the BJP is contemplating to bring a morcha on Vidhan Bhavan on the second day of Winter Session, they should start the same from Mr Gadkari’s residence,” said Mr Malik.
BJP leaders added that there had been many other issues that proved the failure of the state government. They alleged that the state should have provided 12 subsidised cylinders but the government is least bothered. Other issues raised include water, assured prices for sugarcane, cotton and such other issues. The BJP will bring these issues in the house but will also take them up on December 12.
