Cops on lookout for men who killed brothers
The Nalasopara police is on the lookout for an unidentified men who strangled two brothers, both jewellers, at their residence.
According to the Nalasopara police, the incident took place anywhere between late Sunday night to the early hours of Monday’s when the deceased Madan Narayan Soni Mandora (42) and Dinesh Mandora (27) were deep asleep at their residence in Sahil Chawl in Moregaon at Nalasopara (east).
Initial investigations point out that the accused might be contract killers as they broke the window’s grill and sneaked in to their room, without raising an alarm. They then strangled the duo with a rope.
The murders came to light early morning at around 7.30 am when a neighbour saw their window grill to their house on the floor. He contacted Mandora’s sister, who lives in a nearby colony.
The sister with the help of neighbours opened the door and found the duo lying unconscious on the floor. The bed sheets were scattered all around them and the rope was lying on their neck indicating a scuffle had taken place between them and the murderers.
Senior police inspector, Mukund Mahajan of Nalasopara police said, “A case has been registered against unidentified persons under the IPC.”

Man killed by 8 men from rival gang

A twenty-six-year old was murdered by around eight persons late on Sunday night over a past rivalry. Three of the assailants, including the prime accused are serial offenders.
While the police has registered an FIR, no arrests have yet been made. Six persons have been detained for questioning.
The prime accused Sambhaji Kashid had been at loggerheads with the victim Sanjay Suresh Pagare for the past few months. Sanjay lived in the Tembhipada area of Bhandup.
“The two ran local mandals in the Tembhipada area. While Sanjay was the president of the Sadguru Mitra Mandal, Kashid ran the Durga Mata Mitra Mandal. For the past few months, enmity had been brewing between the two mandals, consequently,” said senior police inspector Shrirang Nadgauda of Bhandup police station.
“Late on Sunday night, around six to eight persons including Kashid came to Sanjay’s residence near the Anthony Church and called him for a chat and attacked him with knives and killed him after a brutal assault.
