Cops on lookout of rape accused

The Dongri police is on the lookout for the co-owner of a local travel agency, who had allegedly raped a woman employee from his office on the pretext of marrying her.
The police has also booked the accused’s son, who along with his 45-year-old father conspired and fraudulently obtained `9 lakh from the victim. The father-son duo is currently on the run.
A police team has been sent to Udupi in Karnataka, after tracing the location of the accused’s cellphone, said a source.
According to the Dongri police, 37-year-old victim Zubeda Beghum (name changed) was working as an office staff with a Dongri-based travel agency. Zubeda, who divorced her husband a few years ago, resides in Dongri along with her 14-year-old son.
“In her complaint to the police, she has claimed that the agency’s co-owner (name withheld) had offered to marry her. He had taken the victim to hotels and lodges in Vajreshwari, Shirdi and Titwala and shared a physical relationship with her on various instances during the last two years,” said inspector Sudhir Mali, Dongri police.
Mr Mali added, “The 26-year-old son of the accused, with the help of his father, also fraudulently obtained `9 lakh from the victim as the latter wanted to go abroad for higher
studies. The father-son duo promised to return the money to the victim, but they never did. When the victim realised that she is being cheated, she approached us and gave a written complaint a few months ago.”
The police has registered an offence under Sections 376 (rape), 420 (cheating) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC against the accused.
“At present, we cannot reveal any information on the accused as it would hamper our investigation. We have formed a team that has gone out of the state to apprehend the accused,” said a senior police officer. The officer added that the team is also visiting the hotels and lodges, where the accused reportedly raped her, to gather evidence in the case.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
