Couple held for taking nude pics, raping girl
The Trombay police on Thursday arrested a married couple for allegedly clicking nude pictures of a 16-year-old girl and using them to blackmail her into having intercourse. The atrocities had been taking place since October last year, but a complaint was filed on Wednesday. The husband, who shuttles between Mumbai and Dubai, raped the girl on many occasions and allegedly even let another man from the Gulf do the same.
The girl lives with her two sisters and mother at Cheetah Camp and the accused live a few houses away. One of the accused, Noorjahan (39) operated a beauty parlour where the girl worked as her apprentice. According to the victim’s brother-in-law, Noorjahan one day requested the victim to stay over at her place, lying that her husband, Ahmed Ali (42) was away in Dubai. “Noorjahan spiked her eatables and she fell asleep, only to wake up a few hours later to find herself in a nude state. Her private parts were in pain. Ahmed Ali had intercourse with her and Noorjahan said her nude pictures were clicked in the act.”
“They then blackmailed her for the next six months. On one such occasion she was forced to have intercourse with Ahmed Ali and one Shamsuddin from Dubai at a Vashi hotel. She was also taken to Bangalore for a wedding, where Ahmed Ali raped her. Around three months ago, they again took her to the same Vashi hotel for Shamsuddin’s pleasure,” narrated her brother-in-law. The victim confided in her family when Noorjahan requested to meet the victim’s sister, as the former wanted to prevent her sibling from falling into the trap.
“Shamsuddin has also been booked, but yet to be arrested. The couple was produced in court and remanded to police custody till March 30. We have sent the camera to forensic lab for retrieving the pictures,” senior police inspector Sanjay Khaire said.
