‘Give explantion on Jundal claim’

Leader of Opposition Eknath Khadse on Thursday raised almost all the sensitive issues with respect to law and order during the Monsoon Session in the Assembly.
The BJP leader demanded that MoS Fauziya Khan should either resign or tendering an explanation over arrested terrorist Abu Jundal’s revelation about his stay at the MLA hostel room booked in her name.
Levelling serious allegations against Ms Khan, Mr Khadse said that Jundal had confessed before the Delhi police that he had stayed at the room booked under Ms Khan’s name, who was an MLA in 2008. “There was a lot of discussion on the subject. You ( R.R. Patil) have given a lengthy explanation, but I don’t think the MLA (Ms Khan) gave any explanation,” he said.
Mr Khadse went on to say that it was disturbing that the Delhi police cannot trust the Maharashtra police with Jundal’s security, after the death of terror accused Qateel Siddiqui in Yerwada Jail.
Further, the BJP leader alleged that Siddiqui’s post-mortem report and blood sample of the accused revealed that both the deceased and the murderer were drunk and it was a serious cause of concern that liquor was available in the jail’s “anda cell”.
Moreover, speaking about the Laila Khan murder case, Mr Khadse also asked the crime branch explain why
they could not find the bodies of Laila and her family, when the issue of fire at her Igatpuri farmhouse was in news on January 26.
Mr Khadse pointed out that joint commissioner (crime) Himanshu Roy was flaunting before media the achievement of recovering the bodies after the accused, who was arrested by the Delhi police, gave the information about the bodies.
The leader of Opposition also made serious allegations against the home department with respect to purchase of Total Contentment Vehicle saying that while the Mumbai Airport Authority bought the vehicle for `3 crore, the state wanted to procure the same for double the price, just because some ruling party member recommended the purchase.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
