‘Hazare campaign depends on health’

Team Anna frontliner Arvind Kejriwal on Monday declared that the further course of agitation will entirely depend on Anna Hazare’s health.
Mr Kejriwal met Mr Hazare at Sancheti hospital in Pune. “Anna’s health is of paramount importance for us and for the country also. His condition is improving,” said Mr Kejriwal.

When asked about the team’s plan of touring the five poll-bound states asking voters to shun political parties opposing the Lokpal, he said, “This will entirely depend on his (Hazare) health. We will take into consideration the opinions of the doctors after which the further course of action will be decided.”
Meanwhile, Dr Parag Sancheti, who accompanied Mr Kejriwal said that Mr Hazare has been administered intravenous antibiotics and that he should rest completely for the next five days.
“He should not undertake any stressful activity. We will examine him after five days. However, we have told him he should take rest for one month, not strain himself,” said Dr Sancheti. The activist is said to be suffering from osteoporosis, chest congestion and septicemia.
Hinting that there were no immediate plans to agitate, Mr Kejriwal said, “We will speak to Anna regarding the agitation. There is no plan to fast in the immediate future.”
When asked about RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s allegation that the members of Team Anna were largely responsible for his deteriorating health, Mr Kejriwal said, “I would not like to comment as they are baseless allegations.”
The Team Anna member stated that next core committee meeting to decide the future plans will also depend on Mr Hazare’s health.
Meanwhile, doctors treating Mr Hazare said that the health condition of septuagenarian is improving. “He (Hazare) still has dry cough.
He has gained 400 to 500 grams of weight in the last two days, which is an indication that he is recovering. He was looking fresh and was speaking well,” said Dr Narendra Kewadia, the doctor treating Mr Hazare, adding that his lung function test was carried out on Monday morning and the reports are normal.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
