Hazare health worsens on day 1 of fast

Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare’s health seemed to be a cause of concern on the first day of his three-day fast, as the 74-year-old suffered from fever and his temperature shot up to 102 degrees.

“Mr Hazare’s temperature has risen to 102 degrees and the infection in his chest has worsened. He is unwilling to eat, and we cannot administer medical aid till he does,” said Dr D. Pote, one of the doctors, who was at the venue. According to doctors, who were at the venue, the reasons for the Gandhian’s ill health might be the hectic schedule prior to his fast along.
Mr Hazare said, “I have not had food for the past three days. I stood in the truck for couple of hours and had a hectic journey while I left from Ralegan Siddhi. However. I get energy from my supporters.”
