‘Hike is Congress’ terror attack’

Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray has termed the Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi-run government to be a “terrorist government”. He went a step ahead and accused them of being worse than 26/11 terror attack prime accused Ajmal Kasab and Parliament attack mastermind Afzal Guru, as nearly 30 crore poor people will die due to the diesel and LPG price hike.

Taking barbs at the UPA alliance partners — namely the NCP, DMK and Mamata Banerjee-led TMC — Mr Thackeray said in the Sena mouthpiece Saamana that rather than being party to such an atrocious act, the leaders of the respective parties should leave the alliance and prove their support for the common man, while showing angst against the high-handedness of the Congress.
Launching into combat mode, he further said, “Kasab killed 200 people while six people died in the Guru-led Parliament attack, however, it’s
the Manmohan-Sonia terror attack that will leave nearly 30 crore people to die.”
He added that the protests by the DMK and NCP activists against the diesel and LPG price hike were just a ploy to prove that they were sympathetic with the common man, but that it was not actually the case. “These parties are scamsters and hypocrites,” said Mr Thackeray.
“The Congress party is a slaughterhouse and their alliance partners are the proverbial knife, which is being used to cut the throats of the poor sheep (people). None of the political parties have the guts to withdraw their support from the government in the face of uncontrolled inflation and show
their sympathy with
the common man,” he added.
Mr Thackeray further went on to add, “The diesel and LPG price hike will result in the price of all commodities going up, which will result in the stoves of many poor families across the country going cold. Now, it is to be seen whether a spark of protest will rise from the ashes of the homes of the poor people that have burnt due to this terror attack by the Congress.”
