HSC results may be out before June 5
The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will be declared before June 5. This was confirmed by the chairman of the board who said that the board had informed the same to the CBSE board, which would be conducting the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Neet) for students aspiring to take up medicine and pharmacy courses.
Sources in the board at Pune said that assessment of the answer-sheets and preparation of the results for the Arts, Science and Commerce exams held in March was on in full swing. “Each of the nine regional boards have been sending their progress reports on a regular basis and work is on as per the schedule,” said the source.
Each of the nine regional boards carry out an assessment of answer-sheets in their own regional offices. After moderation, the final marks are sent to the board’s main office from where the results are then processed for the board’s website as well as the hard copies for distribution to the students.
The source further added that assessment of one of the streams was nearly over and work on preparing results for the stream has already started. “The board has received the marks of all the students from one of the streams and preparation of results is underway,” confirmed the source. He, however, added that unless the marks of students from all the three streams were received, the results could not be declared.
MSBSHSE chairman Sarjerao Jadhav confirmed that the work of assessment and moderation was on in full swing. He, however, declined to comment on the progress saying that the regional board was working as per the schedule.
