‘Minister was indifferent to our woes’
Members of the Maharashtra Federation of University and College Teachers Organisation (MFUCTO) are upset at the treatment meted out to them by minister of state for social justice Shivajirao Moghe.
In a letter to the chief minister, MFCUTO has complained that Mr Moghe did not give them a proper attention with their grievances when they met him on the first occasion and thereafter on the second occasion despite being given an appointment by Mr Moghe himself.
A member of MFUCTO said that on October 10 a delegation had tried to meet Mr Moghe to discuss about the delayed salaries of teachers in colleges of social work.
“It was shocking to see that he exhibited complete indifference to the issue and had not even read the memorandum. He met the delegation for two minutes and promised to discuss the issue on October 17,” alleged the member. The same state of affairs was witnessed even after the president of MFUCTO travelled from Jalgaon for the meeting, he added.
