MNVS seeks to postpone lic’s may 18 exam
The Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena (MNVS) has written to the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) office, requesting postponement of its May 18 exams, as it would clash with the MPSC exam scheduled for the same day. The student body has claimed that as thousands of aspirants from the state would want to appear for both the exams, it would be in their best interest to reschedule their online exam.
According to Nilesh Bhosle, executive member of MNVS, they had received requests from many students aspiring to appear for the assistant administrative officer (AAO) of LIC on May 18 and 19 that the dates would clash with the MPSC exam, and so they should be rescheduled.
“We have written to the LIC personnel department that conducts the exams, requesting them to postpone the exam slated for May 18. Our request was accepted by the department and were assured that the matter would be looked into,” said Mr Bhosle.
An official from LIC, however, said that as the exams would be held online, students who wanted to appear for the MPSC could opt for appearing for the LIC exam the next day. “There is no question of postponing the exam,” said the official.
