Pizza boy tries to rape lady, held

The Worli police on Wednesday arrested a 17-year-old minor boy, who works as a pizza deliveryman, for allegedly attempting to rape and murder a 23-year-old female customer at her residence in Worli.
The incident took place late on Tuesday evening when the accused, after making the delivery, came back a few minutes later saying he had made the wrong delivery and assaulted her. The police has also recovered the victim’s cellphone from the accused, which he had stolen.
The boy, a resident of Worli Koliwada, is a Class 7 dropout and had found work at Chovisam, a snacks and pizza centre in Prabhadevi. “He reached the victim’s residence at around 8.15 pm on Tuesday and left after accepting the payment. He saw that she was alone, so he came back around 10 minutes later saying he had botched up the delivery. He then barged inside the house and assaulted the girl with a knife-like object and attempted to rape her.
He also hit her head with a small marble table used for making chapatis and fled from the spot with her cellphone. He bolted the door from the outside,” said DCP (Zone 3) Vinayak Deshmukh.
After the accused left, the victim shouted for help. A neighbour heard the clamour and came rushing to her house.
She was then taken to Poddar Hospital, which informed the police. She was later shifted to Nair Hospital and is reported to be out of danger. The woman suffered two slits on her wrists and a head injury.
During the investigation, the police learnt that the victim had ordered pizza. The police managed to locate the joint in Prab-hadevi and identified the accused. He was picked up from his residence at around 4 am on Wedn-esday and placed under arrest where he was charged with attempt to murder, attempt to rape, assault, illegal confinement and robbery under the IPC. He was later produced before a juvenile justice board and sent to a remand home.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
