Will examine call records: Police

The police will now examine the call data records (CDR) of Mamata Chauhan, who is suspected to have killed her two kids before setting herself ablaze.
Their bodies were found on Monday morning when neighbours,
police and a family friend broke open the door that was bolted from inside. The Old Panvel police has, meanwhile, registered an accidental death report.
Additional CP Fattehsingh Patil said, “The CDRs will help us know who was the last person she spoke to before the incident. Although her cellphone is completely burnt, her call details can be acquired from the service provider. After the person is identified, we will question him or her and find out if she spoke about being under stress or depression. Her neighbours have, however, said they never heard the couple argue. Her husband Ashok, too, has denied any argument with his wife.”
Although the cause behind the extreme step still remains a mystery, the police is convinced that Mamata murdered the children before burning them.
“Children this young cannot commit suicide. Mamata had also cooked in the morning and fed her children before they were killed. The post-mortem report shows undigested food in the children’s stomach. She had, however, not eaten herself. We have informed her brother and mother who are still to arrive from their hometown in UP to record their statements,” added Mr Patil.
The incident came to light when neighbours saw smoke emanating from the Chauhans’ residence and immediately called Ashok who was at the market.
Ashok, in turn, called his friend who rushed the spot with the police. While Shivam (3) and Rani aged eight months had already died, Mamata was still breathing when Ashok arrived.
The family was planning to go to Gorakhpur in UP to attend a wedding in the family and had also shopped for clothes a few days ago.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
