City firm to set up VC fund

City-based advisory firm, Sathguru Manage-ment Consultants, said they will set up a venture fund with an initial corpus of about `450 crore. According to its chairman, Mr Kannan Vijayaragh-avan, the company would look at core areas such as agriculture, healthcare and environment. The fund will be financed mostly by venture capitalists, and global institutions such as World Bank may also co-invest as when the requirement occurs. He added the funding will be done in two separate tranches.
