NTPC signs coal deal with Singareni
NTPC on Wednesday tied up with Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) for supplying coal to its Ramagundam Super Thermal Power Station for 20 years. The long term Fuel Supply Agreement (FSA) provides for supply of 102 lakh metric tonnes of coal per annum to existing Stage-I (200 MWx3) and Stage–II (500 MWx3) units of NTPC Ramagun-dam. The agreement was signed by NTPC regional executive director (south), Mr Ambarish N. Dave and SCCL chief general manager (marketing) Mr Suresh in the presence of SCCL chairman Mr S. Narsinga Rao. Ramagu-ndam Super Thermal Power Station is NTPC’s largest thermal power generating station in southern India with an installed capacity of 2,600 MW.
The country’s largest thermal power generator plans raise its installed capacity from the current 32 gigawatts (GW) to 128 GW by 2032.
