Sundaram MF mulls gold fund

Sundaram Mutual fund is toying the idea of unveiling a gold fund soon. The company, as of now, has zero presence in the sector. “We are considering the gold fund and a few other opportunities. Though we have not firmed up our plans, we are very keenly looking at this sector,” said Mr Harsha Viji, who has taken over as the Director (strategy and planning) of the company. Queried about arbitrage funds in which the firm has no presence, Harsha said it did not hold their interest as the sector was too small. Mr Sunil Subramaniam, executive director, sales and marketing, said all their offices will be used to promote MF products.
