Researchers have discovered a physical mechanism that could make binary stars more hospitable to habitable planets than single sun system.
Researchers led by Paul A. Mason from the University of Texas at El Paso said binary stars attract each other to their centre of gravity but also deform mutually due to the action of the so called tidal forces. Researchers said it is well known that tidal forces could also break the rotation of the bodies implied. The best documented case is that of our Moon that has reduced its rotation rate due to tidal forces from Earth, to the point that it spins as slowly as it revolves around the Earth. This is why the Moon always gives the same face to the Earth. This phenomenon is called tidally synchronisation.

Twilight star Robert Pattinson is reportedly enjoying getting to know Elvis Presley’s granddaughter Riley Keogh and is impressed by her.
The actor was recently linked Keogh and while they have been trying to keep their relationship under wraps, Pattinson is said to be smitten by her, reported OK magazine.

Funnyman Russell Brand is reportedly dating his stylist of 10 years, Nicola Schuller.
Brand was pictured kissing Schuller at a cafe in Hollywood last week, reported Sun Online. Mother-of-one, Schuller, who has been Brand’s make-up artist and hairdresser for almost ten years, is a London fashion graduate.
“Nicola’s been Russell’s good friend for ears and was his shoulder to cry on through his divorce from Katy Perry, and splits from other women. She created the style he’s best known for — his spiky back-combed hair. He has a lot to thank her for.”
“But in the last few weeks things between them have got a lot more hot and heavy than just friends. The way they were kissing in public speaks for itself,” a source said. — PTI

Will Smith is reportedly upset with his daughter Willow Smith over her new single, Summer Fling, in which she sings about midnight walks on the beach and walks around with boys who look much older than her.
Will is also said to be angry at his wife Jada Pinkett Smith who gave the project the green light, reported Showbizpy. “He’s fit to be tied. He almost had a heart attack the first time he saw the video. Will lashed out at Jada, saying, ‘How could you let my little baby do this?’ Will is very traditional and worries that his kids are growing up too fast,” a source said. Will, 44, and Jada, 41, have been married for 15 years, but an insider says the union has been rocked by recurring disagreements over what’s appropriate and what’s not for their kids. — PTI
