Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler joining Idol?
It looks like Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler could be adding some rock star glamour to the American Idol judging panel. The 62-year-old singer has said that he is “probably going to be a judge on American Idol,” TMZ online reported.
“I’m doing it. What do you think? I’m doing it,” he told the website on Saturday following a concert in Las Vegas. But the front man hinted later on a radio show Kid Kraddick in the Morning, that there were still details of his deal to be worked out. “This beautiful girl from Fox came up to me and made an offer. I honoured her offer and it’s just a work in progress,” he said. “They mentioned it and I listened, and we’re on tour, so I gotta give it some time,” he added.
However Fox honchos Kevin Reilly and Peter Rice denied that anything has been decided.

Sheen guilty of assault, to go to rehab
Aspen, Colorado: Actor Charlie Sheen pleaded guilty on Monday to assaulting his wife last Christmas and was sentenced to 30 days in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation in California. Under a plea deal reached with prosecutors in Aspen, Sheen also agreed to three months probation in which he cannot consume any drugs, other than prescription medication, and cannot drink an excessive amount of alcohol.
He also was ordered to attend 36 hours of anger management classes. Pitkin county district judge James C. Boyd sentenced Sheen to a 30-day jail term, but suspended it provided Sheen successfully completes his probation and the drug and alcohol rehab programme in California.
Sheen, 44, was quiet through much of the court proceeding. When asked how he pleaded, Sheen said “guilty as charged, your honour.” —Reuters
