Beckhams heading to New York?
Celebrity couple David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly said to move to New York as the fashionista wants to be there for her work.
The former Spice Girls singer who currently lives in Los Angeles with her three kids and husband has homes in her London and France but now wants a luxurious
Manhattan home to pursue her fashion designing work further, Now magazine reported. “My work is so important to me and LA just isn’t a real fashion city,” the 36-year-old singer-and-designer told a friend.
“Her friendship group in LA has disbanded and David was travelling a lot more than she’d anticipated and so was she. It just seemed to make sense for her to be based in fashion capital New York. It’s closer to London and Europe for her business meetings,” a source said.
However, David, who is still bounded by a contract with club Los Angeles Galaxy will keep his Beverly Hills home to use it as a base while playing. “David’s used to flying a lot but this will be the first time he’s been permanently based so far from his team. If he has a few games in a row, he’ll stay in Los Angeles. This isn’t a decision they’ve come to lightly. They still like LA and have no plans to sell their home there but being based in Hollywood doesn’t appeal to them anymore,” the source added. —PTI
