Camilla hints at weekend royal baby birth
Prince William stepmother Camilla seemed to suggest that his child would be born by the end of this week as bookmakers grabbed this bit of news to offer a new set of odds on how correct the assessment by the Duchess of Cornwall would be.
The royal family, which has continued with their work and appearance commitments, is hoping for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s baby to be born “by the end of the week,” according to Camilla, who was visiting the Little Harbour Children’s Hospital near St. Austell, Cornwall.
“We don’t know what’s going to happen. We’re all waiting at the end of a telephone. I hope by the end of the week he or she will be there,” she told a member of public as part of conversation, which was picked by television microphone. Early birth would mean that Baby Cambridge would be a Cancerian and not a Leo, an astrological sign historically more favourable for the British royals, according to University of Leicester’s Dr Elizabeth Hurren. The actual birth date was believed to be crucial as it heralded the medical destiny of the child and whether it was fit to rule, she said.
“Historically speaking, the Royal family have a much better track-record with Leos than Cancerians.” she said on Tuesday. Royals in the line of succession whose birth chart was under the sign of Cancer, like King Henry VIII, had worrying traits having a temperamental and volatile personality, she said.
In comparison, the star sign of Leo is considered to be very lucky for the Royal family”, Dr Hurren said.
