Carrots and plums can make you more attractive
Want to look more attractive? Eat heavily pigmented fruits such as carrots and plums daily, say experts.
People with a yellow skin hue appear particularly healthy and attractive, according to researchers at St Andrews and Bristol universities studying the relationship between skin colour and attractiveness.
They also established for the first time that yellow pigments, or carotenoids, from certain fruit and vegetables played a key role in producing yellowness in skin, The Daily Telegraph reported.
As part of the study, 40 volunteers rated 51 Scottish Caucasian faces for healthiness and attractiveness.
Ian Stephen, one of the scientists involved in the project, said the link between yellowness and carotenoids opened up new strategies for encouraging young people to eat more fruit and vegetables, especially as it took just two months of increased consumption to produce visible results.
The results will be published in an upcoming edition of the Evolution and Human Behavior journal.

Beckham’s Porsche on sale on eBay
London: Soccer star David Beckham is reportedly selling his Porsche sports car worth $150,000 on internet auction site eBay.
The 35-year-old England soccer ace has owned the car for the last two years, but now wants to get rid of it. Beckham paid $100,000 for the matt-black automobile when he purchased it in 2008 and spent a further $50,000 in customising it. The car features heated front seats and has emblazoned in the interior the number 23 — the number shirt Beckham plays in for current soccer team Los Angeles Galaxy and which he wore at Real Madrid. The car is being sold on eBay through Los Angeles dealer Chequered Flag and the top bid currently stands at $134,000. “This is an opportunity to acquire a supercar with an unparalleled celebrity history,” contactmusic.Com quoted Neil Jaffe from Chequered Flag as saying.
