Craig to act in Larsson book film

Bond star Daniel Craig, who is presently free following suspension of production of the 23rd 007 film, is reportedly all set to star as a journalist in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

A deal has not yet been struck, but a source told deadline.com that producers are in talks with the 42-year-old actor, to join the cast of the adaptation of the crime novel.
Stieg Larsson’s book The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which was given a Swedish film adaptation earlier this year, tells the story of investigative reporter Mikael and computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, researching a family history for a wealthy recluse.
The project will be helmed by David Fincher and scripted by Steven Zaillian. —PTI
