Dev Anand turns 88, film on anvil
There are some who slow down with age, and then there are others who prove that theory to be quite wrong. At 88 years of age and still going strong, Dev Anand is the most optimistic actor in the industry.
“I’m not scared of ageing. It’s a beautiful process. And I’d rather look at the positive side of it,” said the legend. The actor, who celebrated his birthday on Monday with great enthusiasm, said he has no time to relax. “After Chargesheet, I’m starting the pre-production of my new film,” he announced. On the eve of his birthday, Dev Anand announced the sequel to his landmark film Hare Rama Hare Krishna, showing why he has always been envied for his spirit. Despite making flop after flop, the man’s insatiable desire to make films remains intact.
The original chocolate hero of Hindi film industry, Dev Anand has been a part of cult films like Hum Dono, Guide, Jewel Thief and even Bluff Master. The actor always remained in the news for his alleged relationships with many of his leading ladies. Dev Anand is a man who has always been willing to give new talent a platform to display their potential.
