Gaga spent 72 hours in giant egg
Pop diva Lady Gaga spent 72 hours inside a giant egg shell before debuting her new track Born This Way at the Grammy awards, terming it a “very creative experience”.
The 24-year-old singer, who took home three golden gramophones from Sunday night’s ceremony, drew mixed reactions with her red carpet arrival encased in the egg-shaped structure, reported Us magazine. “I was in there for about 72 hours. It was a very creative experience. It was time for me to really prepare and think about the meaning of the song and get prepared for the performance. I really wanted to be born on stage,” said Gaga. The Paparazzi hitmaker insisted that it was a necessary part of her premiere Born This Way performance. “The creative vessel was helpful for me to stay focused. We had it backstage so that I was able to really stay in this sort of creative, embryonic incubation. I’m so passionate about this record and the meaning of the album.”
Though her latest single has already claimed the No 1 spot on iTunes, Gaga said she is already planning for the next phase of the Born This Way era. “The next single is called Judas and that will be out a couple of weeks before the album. I did that record with RedOne, who is so amazing,” she said.
