Garfield to play next Spider-Man

Actor Andrew Garfield is set to play teenage Peter Parker in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot that will focus on the superhero’s college life.

umanity. Garfield, who won the British Academy Television Award for best actor for the 2007 movie Boy A, has teamed up with by Mark Webb for the movie.
In the first three films Tobey Maguire had portrayed Parker. The upcoming untitled Spider-Man reboot will be shot in 3-D starting early December 2010.
“I’m incredibly excited about Garfield. We were looking for a sensitive and cool new Peter Parker who can inspire us and make us laugh, cry, and cheer. We believe we have found the perfect choice,” said producer Avi Arad. —IANS
