Hindi writer Kanhaiya Lal Nandan dies
Acclaimed Hindi writer, poet and journalist 77-year-old Kanhaiya Lal Nandan, passed away on Saturday morning. Nandan was honoured with the Padma Shri and Bharatendu awards, and had worked as the editor of Parag, Sarika and Dinman magazines.
He was moved to a private hospital earlier this week as he complained of low blood pressure and breathlessness. He breathed his last at 3 am on Saturday.
Nandan has to his credit several Hindi books such as Guzra Kahan Kahan Se, Banjar Dharti Par Indradhanush, Ek Tukda Vasant, Shresth Hasya Kathayein to name a few.
