Kim gets $600k for New Year’s Eve appearance

Socialite Kim Kardashian, with her $600,000 paycheck for making an appearance this New Year’s Eve, seems to be the most sought after among Hollywood celebs since others are not so lucky.
The 30-year-old reality star, currently embroiled in a scandal about sweatshop conditions at the Chinese factories that manufacture some of her clothing lines, is being paid an estimated $600,000 to appear at Tao. The fee is part of a large, multi-event deal, reported New York Post.
Other celebs are lagging far behind. In Las Vegas, Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie is earning about $100,000 for playing the new 1Oak at the Mirage Hotel and Casino.

I don’t even think it’s good. Maybe I’ll dig it out, but I don’t have the confidence yet to start even thinking in that way,” Jolie said.
After directing Blood and Honey, the actress is set to star in several upcoming films, including Ridley Scott-produced Gertrude Bell, David Fincher’s Cleopatra, and Luc Besson’s yet untitled big scale thriller. — PTI

Nicole Scherzinger to quit The X Factor
Singer Nicole Scherzinger says she might leave the X Factor next year. The former lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls said that she is going to focus more on her music because she could not devote much time due to her tight schedule as a judge on the singing competition, Ace Showbiz reported. “Next year for me, it’s about my music. I am an artist first, not a judge. The show been so time consuming. I work with these contestants six days a week. So I delayed the album, but I was able to perform one of my new singles last week,” she said. The brunette said although the show is quite a learning lesson for her. “This has been quite a learning experience, quite a journey for me. I didn’t expect to have been so emotional through the whole elimination process. I wanted to just mentor and empower artists,” she added. — PTI
