Lindsay Lohan blames failed alcohol test on tea

Troubled star Lindsay Lohan, who tested positive for alcohol recently, has blamed it on her favourite blend of tea.

The “Mean Girls” star has claimed she drinks the kombucha tea which contains a minor amount of alcohol and led to her testing positive even though she hasn’t touched any alcoholic beverages, reported TMZ.

The 24-year-old actress, who is under house arrest for violating her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI, had to appear before the court after she was photographed drinking from a plastic cup.

But the judge ruled that she hasn't broken any rules and let Lohan off with a warning to stop partying at home.

Lohan is determined to turn her life around and focus on her career rather than her recent troubles.

“I am responsible, and I'm following the rules and obeying my judge and the Los Angeles judicial system. I’d like to do what I must to get my film career back and the respect of directors, actors, writers, studio heads, fans and so on,” said Lohan.
