Lit festival at Jaipur starts today
The Diggi Palace has decked up to welcome the “who’s who” of literary world and world of music, who are participating in the Jaipur Literature Festival. The festival will have participation of 223 authors from India and abroad. Besides that, 85 musicians will also make their presence in the festival.
The five day literary extravaganza will start from January 21 in Jaipur and it will be the sixth such festival. ‘’This time we have a big list of authors coming to Jaipur for the festival, the number is higher than the numbers seen earlier festivals. And out of 223 authors, 65 will be from India,” says Sanjoy Roy, producer of the festival.
Mr Roy has been associated with the festival since its inception. The festival, considered as Asia-Pacific’s leading literature event, draw a huge number of people, including author, musicians, artists and book lovers. ‘’We made several changes at the venue to accommodate more and more people. The arrangement’s were made to provide sitting space for 7,500 people at a time,” Mr Roy said.
