Lohan hits out at White over remark
Troubled Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan had some harsh words coming to her from none other than tinseltown doyen Betty White.
The 89-year-old Golden Girl called Lohan “ungrateful” in a recent interview and the 25-year-old reacted by calling the unprovoked criticism “a bit strange”, reported E! Online.
“I cannot stand the people who get wonderful starts in show business, and who abuse it. Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen, for example, although there are plenty of others, too. They are the most blessed people in the world and they don’t appreciate it,” said Betty White.
But Lohan said that the criticism came across as immature, especially from a “grown woman” like White.
“I’ve always been a fan of hers. It’s just a bit strange when people feel they must speak publicly about others. Especially a grown woman,” said Lindsay Lohan. The Mean Girls star is currently readying for her trial in the case of a $2,500 necklace which was allegedly stolen by her from a high-end store.

UK fish-taster to get tongue insured for £4m
London: A fish-taster of a British seafood company is getting her tongue insured for more than £4 million.
Bosses at Young’s Seafood are so protective of worker Jenny Douglas’s palate that they are willing to fork out £32,000 a year for the unusual insurance policy. It means her tongue, taste buds and sense of smell will be worth more than model Heidi Klum’s £1,150,000 legs and singer Bruce Springsteen’s £3,500,000 voice. Douglas of Grimsby, tests 60 pieces of seafood each day as Young’s chief fish-taster. She protects her assets by avoiding spicy food, hot drinks and alcohol, which can reduce taste.
“I love my job. I make sure our products give customers the best, freshest and tastiest fish possible,” the Daily Express quoted Douglas as saying. “Even though I eat so much fish at work, I still enjoy eating fish at home, too. “I eat at least two meals of fish a week. Halibut and cod are my favourites. However, there is one thing I really don’t like and that’s fish bones,” she said. Her passion for fish comes from her grandfather who worked as a deep-sea fisherman out of Grimsby docks. —ANI
