Pattinson, Stewart best couple of ’10

Even though the Twilight stars have never confirmed they are an item, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been declared the best couple of 2010 by MTV. Their dating rumours were fuelled and seemed to be confirmed by a number of high-profile sightings over the course of the year, including the one in which Pattinson, 24, visited Stewart on the set of her movie On the Road.
Newly-wed Russell Brand and Katy Perry, who are on the MTV list of the best weddings of 2010, have also found place on the best couple one. Their love journey started when they first met at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. After dating only for few months, they got engaged at the end of the year and exchanged wedding vows nearly a year later.
The other hot couples included in the list are 50 Cent and Chelsea Handler as well as Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift. Fifty and Handler’s romance rumour began swirling on the Web after a picture of them getting cozy with each other surfaced.

Urchins key to ever-lasting sharp knives
London: Believe it or not, sea urchin’s teeth could hold the key to everlasting sharp tools.
Scientists have found that sea urchins dig themselves hiding holes in the limestone of ocean floor using teeth which do not go blunt, a key finding which they claim could be used in technology to help to create everlasting bladed tools.
Analysing the teeth of California purple sea urchin, an international team has found that a complex structure of layered calcite crystals held together by super-hard natural cement, the Daily Telegraph reported.
Between the crystals are layers of weaker organic material. As each hard layer becomes blunt it breaks off, exposing a fresh crystalline surface beneath. In this way, the sea urchin’s teeth stay sharp. The crystals come in two forms, plates and fibres, arranged crosswise in a tough “biomineral” mosaic. —PTI

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
