Photographer sues Rihanna over S&M video
R&B singer Rihanna is being sued by another photographer, who has claimed that the singer used his images in her S&M video has invited another lawsuit for her as he says the singer stole his work. The 23-year-old is facing a copyright infringement lawsuit as Paris based photographer Philip Paulus has accused her of recreating his
images from his artwork Paperworld in her video without permission, Radar online reported. “Why a worldwide celebrity is not able to afford a creative director, who creates individual concepts and stagings, is incomprehensible to me,” Paulus said.
“To create new things within the creative cosmos, you can only expect this to come from a real genius. However, in this case there is no real genius who created their own work; instead they stole ideas from a creative talent,” he added. The Umbrella hitmaker was first handed a lawsuit by fashion photographer David LaChappelle who had alleged that the singer used many images from his collection for another raunchy number from S&M video. Meanwhile, neither Rihanna nor her record company, Universal Music, have made any comments regarding the incident.
