‘Russell is into Hinduism’

Singer Katy Perry says she is gravitating towards meditation because of husband Russell Brand, who is into Hinduism.
Brand, who married Perry in India last year, even sought the blessing of a Hindu guru before the wedding. Perry, who had a strict Christian upbringing, says she is very accepting and that’s one of the things that keeps their marriage going.
“I come from a very non-accepting family, but I’m very accepting. Russell is into Hinduism, and I’m not really involved in it. He meditates in the morning and the evening and I’m starting to do it more because it really centres me,” Perry said in an interview with Vogue magazine.
“But I just let him be him, and he lets me be me,” added the 26-year-old. Perry, however, still regrets not having a normal childhood because of her strict parents. “I did not have a childhood. I was always scared I was going to get bombed when I was there. I have always been the kid who’s asked ‘Why?’ In my faith, you’re just supposed to have faith,” she said.

Cox enjoys dinner party with Pitt
London: Hollywood actress Courtney Cox was spotted attending a dinner party with her best friend Jennifer Aniston’s former husband Brad Pitt and seemed quite comfortable with him.
The two were part of a group of 12 people attending a party at Eva Longoria’s restaurant Beso in Los Angeles, to celebrate their manager Cynthia Pett-Dante’s birthday, reported Daily Mail online.
And the Cougar Town star spent a considerable amount of time with the 47-year-old hunk, even though they did not sit next to each other. “They hugged and kissed when they greeted each other. They talked for a while. They were chatting, catching up. They both seemed happy and totally relaxed, very at ease. And they were both smiling the entire time. It didn’t seem awkward at all,” said a source. Pitt and Aniston, 42, split six years ago and he now has six children with partner Angelina Jolie.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
