Salman spreads out acting commitments

Bollywood star Salman Khan, who is due to start shooting YashRaj Films’ Ek Tha Tiger in Dublin soon, has now spread out his acting commitments. He has pushed back his home production Sher Khan, which he described as a difficult film to make. “It has a huge scale, so we have pushed it back for now.”

“It takes six months to three years for it to go away. Till last 10 days or so, the pain had subsided, but I think I was flying in today, I was tired and the AC vent was right on my face so it just started coming back a little bit, but I’m sure it’ll go away,” he added about his medical condition and the surgery he had to undergo.
The next round of treatment will be low-key without letting anyone know, Salman said. “I love the duas (prayers) and everything, I think they help big time, but I think people should now start praying for themselves. It’s just too much that every two-three years I am making people pray for me, sometimes by falling sick and sometimes by being imprisoned,” he said.
The Bollywood star also had Dabangg sequel in the pipeline, but he said that he would start filming that only by next year close to Diwali. The filmstar, who produced Chillar Party, is keen to make more films, but wants to produce different genre of cinema compared to the one he works in.
Happy that the success of Bodyguard broke the perceived jinx about his pairing with Kareena Kapoor, Salman said: “Our last two films together Kyun Ki and Main Aur Mrs Khanna were disasters, so we took it as a challenge to make this film a hit.”
Passing on the credit for its success to the viewers, he said the film became a huge hit in India and the UK just because people watched it.
Asked how he celebrated Id, he said he does not remember as he was under sedation at that time. “It was good though. It’s a good feeling, try it some time,” he joked.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
