Schwimmer becomes dad to baby girl
Friends star David Schwimmer has become a first time father after his wife Zoe Buckman gave birth to a baby girl.
The couple have named the baby Cleo and have released a photograph which shows them cradling their new bundle of joy. Buckman, 25, delivered the baby girl by caesarean section on May 8 in New York.
Schwimmer, 44, who played the geeky professor Ross Gellar, in the superhit TV series Friends kept their joy private for a few weeks before making the announcement today.
The actor-director’s representative said that Schwimmer “couldn’t be more thrilled”.
The couple wed in a secret ceremony in June after announcing their engagement in March last year.
The couple met in London in 2007 when Schwimmer was directing Run, Fat Boy, Run starring Simon Pegg and Thandie Newton.
Part-time photographer Buckman was working as a waitress and served at Schwimmer’s table at the Cuckoo Club in London’s West End

Arnie secret likened to Laden hiding in Pak
Los Angeles: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ability to keep his lovechild a secret from his wife for over a decade has been likened to Osama bin Laden remaining hidden in Pakistan for five years by a leading newspaper.
“That Schwarzenegger could keep his paternal exploits secret from his wife for more than 10 years is as remarkable as the fact that Osama bin Laden was secretly housed within the Pakistani military community of Abbottabad for five years,” said The Los Angeles Times in its opinion piece titled “Blowback: Arnold failed at marriage, not governing”.
The piece goes on to praise the action star’s tenure as the California governor, saying, “Schwarzenegger deserves all the derision he is receiving for his moral shortcomings. However, he has surely had a bum rap regarding his tenure as governor.
The Terminator star recently confessed to having fathered a lovechild with former housekeeper.
