Shah rukh khan to inaugurate IFFI on nov. 23

Actor Shah Rukh Khan will inaugurate the India International Film Festival for the third time since it found a home in Goa. Announcing that King Khan would flag Iffi 2011 at the Ravindra Bhavan in Margao on November 23, director of Iffi Shankar Mohan said that Union minister for information and broadcasting Ambika Soni would be the chief guest for the occasion. He added that the chief guest for the concluding ceremony on December 3 was yet to be finalised.
This year’s film extravaganza will start with the screening of the Portuguese film The Consul of Bordeaux, a true story about Portuguese consul general Aristides de Sousa Mendes who issued more than 1,00,000 visas to Jews so they could flee German occupied France.

Women detect attractive men by web profile
If you think that you can woo a woman online by posting a flattering picture alongside your profile on the Internet, think again, for a study says females can easily identify an attractive man just by reading his profile.
In the study, researchers found good-looking men were able to convey their confidence and attractiveness in their written self-description, and that women volunteers were able to recognise their beauty without being shown their photos.
Men whose photos were rated as attractive had written profiles that were also deemed to be attractive, despite words and images being rated by different judges, the study found. In fact, the researchers at Villanova University asked 50 female students to examine profiles and pictures of 100 men aged 22 to 25 who had posted on a popular dating website, the Daily Mail reported. — PTI
