Soft porn director plans film on Berlo ‘babes’
Italian soft porn director Tinto Brass, the subject of a documentary screening at Venice film festival on Saturday, told reporters he wants to make a film about ex-Premier Silvio Berlusconi’s escorts.
“I want to make a film about Berlusconi. I had in mind the title Thank you, Daddy,” Brass said, referring to the nickname given to Berlusconi by the girls who attended the famously bawdy parties in his villa.
Brass — best known for his erotic films All Ladies Do It, a raunchy take on Mozart’s opera Cosi Fan Tutte, and the brutal cult movie “Caligula” — is in Venice to mark the screening of Intintobrass, a documentary about his life.
Kicking back on the terrace of the luxury Excelsior hotel with his busty companion Caterina Varzi, who he describes as his “muse”, the 80-year-old lamented “the preference today for senseless Internet porn over crafted erotic films.”
His would-be subject matter, the 76-year-old Berlusconi — who denies frequenting escorts or hosting lascivious parties — was found guilty in June of buying sex from a then 17-year-old prostitute nicknamed “Ruby the Heart Stealer”.
The self-proclaimed playboy features in a separate fictional film showing in Venice, Portuguese director Miguel Gomes’s ironic Redemption.

Kurt Russell in talks for Fast & Furious 7
Los Angeles: Death Proof star Kurt Russell is apparently eyeing a part in Fast and Furious 7. Russell, 62, will play the role that Universal originally offered to Denzel Washington, reported Variety.
Given the fact Washington was being considered, it is likely to be a large part that the “Tango & Cash” star is looking to play. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker will be reprising their roles for the seventh film, with British actor Jason Statham coming on board as the principal villain. If Russell lands the role, it will be his first big screen appearance since Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof.
Russell’s name is the latest to be attached to the James Wan-directed sequel since Ong Bak star Tony Jaa was confirmed for the cast. Fast and Furious 6, released in May this year, was a box office smash, fetching $750 million worldwide. — PTI
