Tom Cruise to star in Top Gun 2?

A sequel to the 1986 blockbuster movie Top Gun seems to be in the pipeline as the movie bosses are in talks to bring back actor Tom Cruise for the sequel.
The original film’s producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, has confirmed he’s been approached with plans to resurrect Cruise’s character, Lieutenant Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, for a follow-up to the naval aviation drama, reports imdb.com.
“We were recently approached again to start talking about it but, you know, nothing yet. We kicked around some ideas because the aviation community has completely changed since we made the movie a long time ago. So we have to find a way in and how to incorporate the Maverick character into it,” Bruckheimer said.
Top Gun is the latest in a long line of popular movies which are rumoured to be heading back to the big screen, including Jurassic Park and Ghostbusters.

Gaga poses as a man for men’s mag
London: Popstar Lady Gaga has been hounded with hermaphrodite rumours ever since she began her career and she is now taking a dig at her detractors by posing as a man in a new photo shoot for a men’s magazine.
A series of new photographs show the controversial singer dressed in a series of suits and shirts, with her normally platinum hair gelled up in a dark quiff. Gone are the usual extravagant costumes usually favoured by the star. In their place are sombre suits and conservative white shirts, reported the Daily Mail online. The photos were taken in London by renowned photographer Ni-ck Knight and arranged by regular Gaga stylist Nicola Formichetti. They are set to appear in a men’s fashion editorial for the September issue of Vogue Hommes Japan. Formichetti has also posted the images on her blog, but mysteriously lists the model’s name as Jo Calderone. —PTI

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
