Trafalgar premiere for Potter
The world premiere of the eighth and final instalment in the Harry Potter movie franchise will be held in London’s Trafalgar Square, a far bigger venue than the usual. The cast and crew of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 will begin the evening of July 7 on the red carpet at the historic landmark in central London before moving to nearby Leicester Square for the screening. Leicester Square is the smaller space normally used for London film premieres. “This is one of the most eagerly awaited films in history,” said London mayor Boris Johnson.

Franco drops his bash plan, skips party
London: Hollywood actor James Franco dropped his plans of throwing an exclusive bash post the Oscars and skipped an after-party as his hosting skills were criticised by one and all.
The 32-year-old actor, who hosted the 83rd Academy Awards on Sunday along side actress Anne Hathaway, was slammed as an emcee and failed to entertain the audience, which saw him missing for the ceremony’s post-party, reported Contactmusic.
Franco also cancelled his plans to throw a bash at the Supper Club after the show.
The 127 Hours star who is studying both at Yale and New York Universities, took to his Twitter account to explain his absence, claiming he had to return to classes.
“Goodbye LA. It was fun! Time to head back to class,” Franco posted on his link.
