‘Turtle as big as a small car unearthed’
Scientists have unearthed what they believe are the fossilised remains of a turtle the size of a small car that roamed across what is now South America some 60 million years ago. The turtle, which was discovered in 2005 in a coal mine in Colombia and named Carbonemys cofrinii (or coal turtle), is believed to belong to a group of side-necked turtles known as pelomedusoides.
The researchers, who examined the turtle now and detailed their findings in the Journal of Systematic Paleontology, said the turtle’s skull, roughly was the most complete of the fossil remains.

Thornton says Jolie was too good for him
London: Actor Billy Bob Thornton says he ruined his marriage to Angelina Jolie because he thought he was not good enough for her.
The Oscar-winning actor, who was married to Jolie from 2000 to 2003, says his wife’s increasing fame made their relationship difficult, the Daily Mail reported. “Angie, I felt, was definitely too good for me and at some point, if you believe somebody’s too good for you, you’re going to mess it up. I always thought I was sort of Quasimodo or the Phan-tom Of The Opera hiding in the catacombs. And when I was with her I think that really reached its heights,” the 56-year-old actor told US TV show Nightline.
“I blew it. When Angie and I got married, during that time, I was more famous than she was to start with and then she becomes this big thing, it’s hard in these relationships.” — PTI
