TV series to explore Iran Shah’s life
The private life of Iran’s last monarch Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi is all set to be captured on celluloid with a filmaker planning a TV series on it. Entitled Puzzle of the Shah, the TV series by director Mohammadreza Varzi will be broadcast on one of the channels of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, producer Ali Ladoni told the Persian service of the Fars News Agency on Friday.
Farid Mostafavi is currently writing the script for the 30-episode series. Mohammed Reza Pahalvi was the shah of Iran from 1941 until his overthrow by the Iranian Revolution on 11 February 1979. Shah’s White Revolution succeeded in modernising the nation, nationalising many natural resources, and extending suffrage to women. —PTI
