‘White bread is good for your health’
Have you removed the “demonised” white bread from your daily diet for fear of weight gain? You could be missing out on vital vitamins, experts have claimed.
According to experts in the UK, white bread is an important source of nutrition and warnings on the dangers of eating bread don’t have any truth in them, the Sun reported.
A new research carried out by nutrition scientist Dr Aine O’Connor, based at the British Nutrition Foundation in central London found that standard sliced white bread had been unfairly “demonised” by health campaigners and TV nutritionists.
The research debunks myths that bread causes bloating, sparks weight gain — and that wheat allergies are on the rise.

‘Being bossed at work ups risk of heart attack’
London: Being bossed around at work place could raise the risk of a heart attack by a quarter, a new study involving 200,000 workers has found.
Researchers said workers who feel over-pressured yet powerless are more at danger than counterparts who suffer less stress.
Their major review of heart health among 200,000 workers examined the risk for all occupations, from civil servants to factory workers, the Daily Mail reported.
“Our findings indicate that job strain is associated with a small but consistent increased risk of experiencing a first coronary heart disease event, such as a heart attack,” said Mika Kivimaki, who led the University College London research.
Previous research has suggested stress at work can trigger heart problems but there have been conflicting results. — PTI
