Ajit: Biggest mistake of my life

NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Monday apologised for the controversial “urination” remarks made by his nephew, Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, on Saturday. Follo-wing his uncle’s demand, Mr Ajit Pawar also admitted that his crass remark was the “biggest mistake of his life”.
However, the Opposition is not happy with the Pawars’ apology and demanded the immediate ouster of Ajit Pawar from the state Cabinet.
In a public rally in Pune on Saturday, the Maharashtra deputy chief minister had asked whether he should urinate to fill dry dams in the state. The comments have evoked widespread criticism.
Terming his nephew’s comments as “unwanted”, the NCP chief said on Twitter, “I duly apologise on the behalf of deputy CM of Maharashtra for the unwanted comment that he made.”

CBI names AP minister in jagan case
age Correspondent
Hyderabad April 8

The CBI on Monday named Andhra Pradesh home minister Sabita Indra Reddy as an accused in its fifth chargesheet in the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy illegal investments case. The chargesheet pertains to the allotment of 407 hectares of land in Kadapa district to Eshwar Cements for limestone mining. The chargesheet says most of this land was later re-allocated to Dalmia Cements, which invested in Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Bharati Cements.
The chargesheet says Dalmia Cements purchased shares, each worth `110, at an exaggerated premium of `1,440 in Bharati Cements and made an investment of `95 crore in the company. The CBI alleges this was a quid pro quo deal.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
