Mirren urges Brit fans to support army charity

Veteran actress Helen Mirren has called on her fellow Brits to rally behind a military support charity after a soldier was brutally murdered on the streets here. The country was left in shock after the horrific killing of 25-year-old Army drummer Lee Rigby, who was hacked to death in Woolwich, south east London.

At the time of his death, Rigby was wearing a T-shirt promoting Help For Heroes, a charity for British troops injured in conflicts, and now The Queen star is urging fans to stand in support of the organisation, reported Sun online.
Donning a Help For Heroes shirt for a photocall, the 67-year-old actress said, “The young man who died... was showing where his heart lay by wearing his Help For Heroes top. It was monstrous that he should be killed for that,” she said.
