Kalki’s stubborn about her style
Other than cinema and theatre, Kalki Koechlin has a fascination for fashion. In the city to announce her association with French brand Grey Goose, Kalki said that she has a little bit of French connection too.
Kalki, who gives as much importance to the way she dresses as she gives to her performances, informs that it’s almost impossible for her to make bad fashion choices.
“I am very stubborn about my style. It’s an expression of freedom to me,” said Kalki, who sizzled in a black Fendi gown with mesh detailing.
She says, “Even if I wear kurta pyjama, people are like, ‘Wow! Kalki is really chilled out.’ When I wear a gown they are like, ‘Wow! Kalki is looking like a diva.’”
Having said that, Kalki clears, some people are also impressed when celebrities do the stupidest things. “If a celebrity opens a car door, fans are like, ‘Wow! She opened the car door herself.’ People should have better expectations,” she says.
Kalki is a content person and she is happy with the choices she has made for herself, be it movies or otherwise. And matrimony has only added bliss to her life, which is great with hubby and talented filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
“He is my best buddy. Marriage to me is continuation and an expression of love,” she said.
She currently has Yeh Jawani and Ek Thi Dayan in her kitty. While she doesn’t want to reveal anything about her films, she adds that she wishes to do a typical Bollywood masala film, as fun as Band Baaja Baaraat.
